I'm done
I am so sick and tired of people telling me that my cause isn’t important! I don’t understand why people tell me that I can’t make a difference. It is plain rude. Yes, I do go on rants sometimes about the environment but it’s just because I am passionate about it. That doesn’t mean that people should tell me that I can’t do anything about Global Warming, because I can and I will!
There have always been people that believe nothing will ever change; those are the people that just don’t care enough to make it happen. Until the abolishment of slavery there were many people that said they wanted it to end, but they didn’t think it ever would, so they didn’t do anything to stop it. Segregation ended when people stood up and fought for what they believed in, millions thought it would never happen, but it did. Who’s to say that we can’t stop global warming? Everyone is in the fight for it, I don’t think anyone wants it to happen. So why aren’t we taking a stand and putting up a fight against it!! Global warming will wipe out humanity if we let it. Luckily, we can stop it. We don’t have that much time, but if we start now, I know that we will be victorious.
If you are with me, then lets make it happen! If everyone actually worked together, ending the threat of global warming would be simple.
Tip #1- reduce, reuse, and recycle
If you don’t recycle, then sign up! It many areas it is completely free to recycle, and in some places, you can get money for your bottles and cans. Reuse everything! It saves money and you can make some cool crafts. Reducing is the easiest. Spend less time in the shower, unplug things when you’re done with them because they do continue using energy even if it’s off, and just turn everything off when you leave a room! Start small, and then continue doing more and more; you’ll be surprised at the difference we will all make!
So I am done with all the haters and anyone who ever told me that I can't do it, because if you told me that, you aren't any kind of true friend!! I don't care what haters think, they are just scared of change and passionate people! Please help me live my life of dreams by doing these simple acts to reduce the threat of global warming!

My Hero: Rachel Carson
Ever since I started wanting to protect and save our beautiful environment, Rachel
Carson has been my hero. I aspire to be like her. Her book, Silent Springs,
really sparked the environmental movement. Rachel Carson cleared the way for
environmental protection by making the public aware of the situation at hand.
That is exactly what I am trying to do now, with this blog, and soon enough,
videos. For those of you who don't know much about Rachel Carson, I have put
some links on this post and a brief bio of her life below. She was really a
remarkable woman.
Rachel Carson was born on May 27, 1907. When she grew up she became a biologist who wrote popular books about nature and science. The last book she wrote was titled Silent Springs. This book changed the way we treated the environment. Rachel made it known to the world that the chemical pesticide, DDT, was not as harmless as the world was made to believe. Her terrific book is about how the DDT had bad effects on more than it was supposed. It was used to kill mosquitoes and flies but ended up killing so much more. When a toxin is exposed into any ecosystem, it climbs up the entire food web. DDT caused the killing of birds, fish, and all kinds of animals. Rachel also found evidence that it caused some human illness. In 1963, she was invited to D.C., where she spoke to a special committee formed by President J.F.K. Rachel Carson talked about the dangers of misusing tons of pesticides. The committee was very impressed with her and agreed that overuse of chemical poisons was a major problem. She then testified before the U.S. congress, where she asked for new policies to protect human health and the environment. Because of Rachel Carson, DDT was banned and Congress passed important environmental protection laws. She is truly an amazing woman and should be every little girl's role model.
She has lead me to my life of dreams!

Degree by Degree Guide of Global Warming
I found this website that has the possible outcome of global warming. Here is a
summary of the degree by degree
guide and the website.
1 degree increase- This has already happened. It has resulted in increased sea levels.
2 degrees- Unless we lower greenhouse gas emissions by around 60% in the next 10 years, this will also happen. It will result in plants emitting carbon dioxide rather than absorbing it and Europeans dying of heat stroke.
3 degrees- After a 2 degree increase, it is very unlikely to ever stop global warming. Carbon emissions from plants increases global warming more, death of the Amazon rainforest, super hurricanes, and starvation in Africa.
4 degrees- Runaway thaw of permafrost makes global warming unstoppable; much of Britain made uninhabitable by severe flooding; Mediterranean region abandoned
5 degrees- Methane from ocean floor accelerates global warming; ice gone from both poles; humans migrate in search of food and try vainly to live like animals off the land
6 degrees- Life on Earth ends with apocalyptic storms, flash floods, hydrogen sulphide gas and methane fireballs racing across the globe with the power of atomic bombs; only fungi survive

Confession
I realized something. Okay, that other blog I recommended was mine, I made up a name and account because I didn't want people to know that it was mine. I thought people would be more inclined to read something written by an adult than by me. Well, I thought wrong. No body really ever read that other blog, so I am going to incorporate it into my blog. After all, it is all about my dream and goal in life. I want to save our environment and put an end to the threat of global warming!
Here is my plan I wrote on my other blog:
My plan is fairly simple. I am going to write blog posts, make videos, and a few other things to educate the public of what is going on due to global warming and what will happen if it doesn't stop. Some of you probably don't believe in global warming. Most of you believe it is probably happening but don't truly know what is causing it and what it means for not only the polar bears, but also us. My plan is to change that.
I am going to try to explain global warming to the best of my capability. I will probably get a few things wrong but for the most part, I will be able to get to gist of it. The best thing to do at first when trying to help/change something is to make sure everyone knows about it. This is what I am doing. I am going to take you through every aspect of global warming because I want to change the world for the better. I want to make a difference, not only that, but I also want to ensure the safety of everyone for thousands of years. Many scientists speculate that if global warming does not end, the human race will eventually end. I believe that this could happen as well. Not for many years, but I think that it is a very possible outcome.
My plan is to start small and get bigger. I am going to share ways to prevent global warming and what causes it. I will also include anything else that could help but an end to global warming. I am doing this for many reasons, the main one is that I don't want the worst scenario to become real. I must admit, the series of events that can possibly come from a never ending global warming, scares me. So become a member of my blog, read all the posts, and let's put an end to global warming! Putting an end to global warming will accomplish my life of dreams.
